A Day At The Seaside celebrates all that is great about a British seaside holiday, whatever your budget. Simple pleasures of paddling in the sea, making sandcastles, the amusement arcades, illuminations, eating ice cream and fish & chips. For years we have forsaken our seaside towns for the cheap package holiday abroad where the sun was guaranteed. However Covid changed all that and coming out of lockdown many flocked to the coast to discover a new world closer to home that can deliver a great holiday. Ironically global warming has meant that our summers have been getting hotter and instead of raincoats and umbrellas we are buying hats and suncream. Many of our destinations abroad are fast becoming too hot for comfort. So however you travel, be it by car, bike, coach, train or plane Britain’s seaside towns have a lot to offer.
